Driver Installation in Windows 8
Before installing the driver for your printer, make sure the printer is not connected to your computer. Also read the instructions carefully and follow all the steps in sequence.
First, download the appropriate driver for your printer. You can find the required file above or on the official Canon page. After the download is complete, the file will be in the Downloads folder. Find and run it.
On the welcome page, click Next to take the next step.
The text with the license agreement will be displayed next. Read it and press the “Yes” button to confirm your consent to the installation.
We are waiting for our program to unpack and copy all the necessary files to the computer. You can follow the progress of the process by moving the progress bar. During installation, do not turn off or restart your computer!
When installation is complete, plug the printer cable into any available USB port on your computer and turn on the printer. The computer will find and detect the printer itself. This completes the installation. It is also possible to manually assign a printer port at this stage, but this operation is usually not required and may only be needed by advanced users.
